Ten Vineyard Lunches

Ten Vineyard Lunches series

We’re excited to launch Ten Vineyard Lunches, a new series of ten intimate winemaker dinners inspired by Richard Olney’s much loved book of the same name, celebrating the connection between wine, food, and place.

Curated by Isaac and our Head Sommelier Emer Landgraf, each dinner will feature a brilliant winemaker and their wines, paired with a menu specially designed to reflect the region’s culinary traditions.

For more information and to receive first news about each subsequent dinner, please email tenvineyardlunches@thecloveclub.com to express interest and enquire about availability.

On Wednesday 13th May, Ten Vineyard Lunches returns with a very special guest: Luca Roagna.

The Roagna family have been making wine in Piedmont for five generations, farming some of the most revered vineyards in Barbaresco and Barolo. Known for their uncompromisingly traditional approach, they work with old vines, native yeasts and extended ageing - often releasing their wines years (sometimes decades) later than most producers.

The result is Nebbiolo of rare purity and structure - expressive, elegant wines built to age, with a quiet power that reflects the soils and traditions of the region.

For this dinner, Luca will join us at The Clove Club to present a selection of Roagna wines alongside a five-course menu from Isaac and the team, created to complement the wines and the season.

This will be an intimate dinner, with Luca speaking about the wines, the vineyards and the family’s philosophy throughout the evening.

Tickets are £400, inclusive of the full menu and wine pairing.

ANDY SMITH, Dumol winery - WEDNESDAY 4th march 2026

We are delighted to welcome Andy Smith, founder of DuMOL Winery in Russian River Valley, California.

Isaac and Andy met, as many modern friendships do, through Instagram - and recognised something familiar straight away. Both Scots, yes, but more importantly, both guided by an ingredient-led way of thinking.

For Andy, that ingredient is the grape - shaped by site, season, and patience. For Isaac, it is the produce that is sourced each day.

This evening will bring together DuMOL's uniquely coastal Californian wines and Isaac's Atlantic led-menu.

Nicolas-Jay x Méo-Camuzet – 24th October

Our Ten Vineyard Lunches series continued with a truly unique edition, featuring not one but two celebrated producers - Nicolas-Jay from Oregon and Domaine Méo-Camuzet from Burgundy.

This special evening offered an exciting exploration of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from both sides of the Atlantic, delving into the nuanced differences and striking similarities between Oregon and Burgundy.

We were thrilled to welcome Jay Boberg, co-founder of Nicolas-Jay, who joined us for the evening. A former music industry pioneer who signed and mentored legends such as R.E.M., Mary J. Blige, Black Sabbath, and B.B. King Jay transitioned from record labels to wine labels in 2013 when he teamed up with renowned Burgundian winemaker Jean-Nicolas Méo of Domaine Méo-Camuzet.

Together, they bring a distinctive transatlantic perspective to winemaking - combining Oregon’s vibrant terroir with Burgundy’s time-honoured traditions. On the night, we showcased a selection of exceptional wines from both estates, paired with a bespoke menu by Isaac McHale and wine pairings curated by Head Sommelier Emer Landgraf.

Cos d’Estournel - 9 July

We continued our Ten Vineyard Lunches series with a special evening celebrating the wines of Cos d’Estournel, a prestigious Second Growth estate located in Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux.

Founded in 1811 by the visionary Louis Gaspard d’Estournel, the Château is renowned not only for its exceptional wines but also for its striking Indian-inspired architecture, a tribute to the founder’s ties with the East. Often referred to as the “Maharajah of Saint-Estèphe,” Louis devoted his life to the estate, which remains one of Bordeaux’s most iconic producers.

For this dinner, Isaac McHale and Head Sommelier Emer Landgraf will presented a menu and wine pairing that showcase the power, complexity, and elegance of Cos d’Estournel’s wines. We were joined by Baptiste, the estate’s Europe and UK Sales Manager, who guided us through a stunning flight of vintages, including rare large formats and beautifully aged bottles that reflect the estate’s long-standing pursuit of excellence.
